Description

PhD programmes are based on individual research projects that last 3 or 4 years, working with a specific academic supervisor (principle investigators). Applicants are specifically matched with a principle investigator based on their research interests and background. Animal Biology has a strong integrative research theme combining whole animal physiology with in vitro studies using molecular, cellular and systems approaches. Experimental systems range from simple invertebrates to mammals and address a diversity of biological questions including:

  • Cardiac Physiology
  • Renal Physiology
